He came to us looking for an enhancement of his smile, he had been on plastic temp for two years. His former dentist did them for him, but he did not like them.
He told us, he lost some front teeth at a young age due to an accident, then he lost more teeth and got dental implants across the upper arch. The implants were placed to be restored individually and at different times.
After a complete clinical exam, full set of photos, and a CT Scan we had the challenge to restore implants that were placed for a different purpose than the actual one. Also, there were different brands of implants. So we had to look for the parts to be ready for his case.
As usual, we did a digital mock-up. In this case, it was a little challenging because of the position of the implants. They were not placed ideally to make the restoration look natural.
On the first day, we made impressions to make the digital design. Then removed the old temporary and made final impressions on the upper implants. Also, we prepared the veneers on the lower arch and made final impressions for veneers and implants.
A day later we had the mock-up ready and tested in the mouth. We shot some pictures and understood there were several changes to be made.
Two days later we had a second try and we loved the results, so this one was taken as the prototype for the final restorations.
A few days later restorations were ready to be tested for fitting. One day later we did the esthetic try, where we analyzed the results.
One day later we delivered the final restorations and did a bite adjustment.
On the last day, we did a bite adjustment, delivered a mouth guard, and shot the final pictures and x rays.
He could not be happier with the results and neither do we. He had been waiting for years to have a smile like this.
